Your new role

As our Marketing Coordinator, you will work within the Communication and Advocacy team to raise Sacred Heart Mission’s op shop and fundraising profiles in a way that leads to increased income and donations for the organisation, whilst upholding our brand and reputation within the community. 

You will design and coordinate the delivery of marketing and communication plans for our op shops and fundraising events, and work closely with Sacred Heart Mission’s online op shop team.  

This is expected to be a 14-month parental leave vacancy.

Your day-to-day

A key part of your role is to engage with and grow Sacred Heart Mission’s supporter base via social media, EDMs and other communication channels. You will coordinate our digital communication calendar for fundraising, op shops and the online op shop.

You will write copy, take and edit photos and develop graphics and videos or coordinate the creation of promotional content with our design partner.

You will proactively monitor our digital platforms for media mentions, respond to comments and questions from supporters and seek out media opportunities related to the op shops and fundraising.

Working closely with our op shop and fundraising teams, you will help to design and manage in-store and digital marketing campaigns to attract new customers and volunteers, and increase physical and online store profits through innovative sales’ and industry leading events.

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will also design and manage our monthly newsletter and EDMs for op shop customers, and coordinate online advertising campaigns. You will ensure that all communication and marketing activities are effective and aligned with Sacred Heart Mission’s brand.

To help the team evaluate and further optimise their communication and marketing activities, you will regularly measure and report on digital performance and trends.

The person we're looking for

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated marketing/communication experience working for a brand or organisation
  • Competency in either Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva
  • Valid driver’s license to drive in Australia

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing/communication or similar field
  • Experience using Mailchimp 
  • Video editing and photography skills 
  • Knowledge and interest in the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
