Team Leader - General Supportive Housing Program

The General Supportive Housing Team is co-located with two other supportive housing teams, providing client support to access housing, settlement support, and sustaining tenancies support within a case management and service coordination model of service delivery.

Your new role

In this exciting new full-time role as Team Leader, you will be leading the new General Supportive Housing Team, working with people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Your role has oversight for the quality delivery of a supportive housing program.  You also will be able to maintain and develop your own practice skills through working with a small (non-gender specific) caseload. The role also contributes to the client service on-call roster.

You're day to day

  • You will be responsible and accountable for service delivery, with support from an experienced Manager.
  • You will supervise the SHM General Supportive Housing Case Managers and set goals for the team.
  • The role has responsibility for a reduced caseload providing case management and service co-ordination support to clients (all genders).
  • The role also provides exciting opportunities to contribute to organisational working parties, projects and initiatives.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Dynamic and motivated team player
  • Experience in/or progressing goals to provide supervision and/or lead a team
  • Committed to feminist practice and frameworks
  • Team focused with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours and respond to crisis situations
  • Focus on making a real difference in client lives
