Your new role
The Wellness Place provides support to at least 150 clients each month through a range of allied health therapies and skills development activities.
The Community Inclusion Worker-Cool Change is a new part time role within The Wellness Place (WP). In this role, you will work across Engagement Hubs and Wellness Place to build relationships and enhance participation and quality outcomes for Hub clients.

Your day-to-day
Your typical day will include individual, time limited support to up to 6 clients in order to facilitate their participation in groups or other Wellness Place or community activities.
You will provide assertive engagement to more complex engagement hub users living with homelessness, mental illness, substance use and social isolation. You will also specifically target Hub clients who are not help seeking and may be reluctant to try new things.
The person we're looking for
The successful candidate will be:
- Someone with good communication skills who collaborates well as part of a team.
- Experienced working in homelessness, mental health and community settings
- Able to work with complex clients
- Able to respond to crisis and challenging behaviours
- Someone who has knowledge of/and understanding of trauma and homelessness.
- Experience with group facilitation skills, particularly in the area of mental health, substance use, or addressing social isolation.
