Your new role
The Casual Support Worker provides high quality, person centered, and responsive support services to people who identify as women (Cis and Trans) accessing Sacred Heart Mission services.
You will be working across 3 different gender specific programs, an Engagement Hub, Crisis Accommodation and a Supported Accommodation setting.
Work across Women’s specific programs for Sacred Heart Mission in St Kilda, Footscray and Reservoir.

Your day-to-day
The Casual Support Worker will work varied hours. This may be a daytime shift, evening, and overnight shift or during the weekend.
Engagement Hub – offers immediate support and up to 6 weeks brief intervention to women (cis and trans) experiencing or at-risk of homelessness.
Crisis Accommodation – supports women (cis and trans) for up to 6 weeks. Your focus will include assisting women with orientation to the accommodation and preparation for moving into longer term accommodation. You will assess and respond to immediate needs of women accessing the program.
Supported Accommodation – supports women (cis and trans) for up to 2 years. Your focus will include providing day to day support for residents assisting them to achieve identified goals in their support plans. Other tasks include supporting residents to complete daily household tasks. Supporting with direct care and interpersonal support.

- Relevant degree or above qualifications
- High level interpersonal skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively with others
- Dynamic and motivated team player
- Resilience, flexibility and adaptability
- A current Covid-19 vaccination certificate
- A current NDIS worker screening check
