Your new role
Our Wellbeing and Activities program offers structured activities and opportunities for clients to improve their health and wellbeing, to engage in social participation and to build confidence.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering a robust and diverse exciting program of activities with the overall purpose of supporting our residents to achieve their wellbeing goals and maximise social participation. You will support a team of assistants, volunteers and additional staff who contribute to program delivery to implement and deliver daily activities designed to meet the physical, social and emotional needs of our residents.
You will work with a Trauma Informed and person- centred approach and adhere to the Aged care Quality standards.

Your day-to-day
A typical day involves overseeing the daily running of the program, supporting staff with any challenges around this and adapting accordingly. Communicating with residents to keep them informed of your program and what is happening throughout the day. Supporting individuals with their lifestyle needs around accessing technology, making purchases or any variety of requests. Liaising with volunteers, or other stakeholders within the organisation. Sorting through material donations, delivering allocated activities yourself at times pre-determined by the program. Researching and developing new activities or celebrations and special events for days of significance. Creating, reviewing and updating care plans and activity logs to comply with the Aged care standards Framework and the NDIS Framework.
We are looking for someone
- Who can demonstrate excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
- With experience in program delivery/coordinating activities/events in a Residential environment, or a wider Community setting.
- Who is able to work in a flexible, adaptive and responsive way.
- Who is able to deliver a wide range of Individual and group based activities.
- Who can bring their individual qualities, interests and abilities to the role.
- Who is able to work with people without judgement.
- Who demonstrates fun and enthusiasm.
- Who is able to effectively support the social and emotional needs of people who live with mental illness and have experienced trauma and homelessness.
- Who is able to deliver quality supervision and oversee a team.
- Who can develop and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Who demonstrates compassion, initiative and an understanding of confidentiality.
- Who has an understanding of The Aged Care Standards and Quality Reporting.
