Technology Business Partner

Your New Role

As the Technology Business Partner, you will play a crucial role as the primary relationship manager between Technology, business programs and application vendors.  The role supports SHM to select, implement, govern, maintain and improve business applications, so they meet operational needs, service delivery outcomes and regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time position where you will have the exciting opportunity to join our Enterprise Support division who is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Mission's Strategic Plan and operational needs for Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Administration and Property and Procurement. 

Your Day-To-Day

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with business programs and acting as the primary Technology contact for business application initiatives.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement and support informed technology decisions.
  • Coordinating application implementations, upgrades, enhancements and system changes with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting the governance, lifecycle management and continuous improvement of SHM's business application portfolio.
  • Working with System Owners to support application governance, role-based access controls and access management processes.
  • Managing vendor relationships and contributing to contract reviews, service reviews and performance discussions.
  • Assisting with application assessments, business cases and system selection activities for new or replacement solutions.
  • Supporting reporting, integration and data-related initiatives across key business systems.
  • Maintaining application documentation, registers and governance artefacts.

Essentials for Success

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Business Analysis, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting or managing business applications in a complex service delivery environment.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders, vendors and technical resources to deliver application improvements or system changes.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management, requirements gathering, implementation support, vendor coordination and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of application access management, role-based access control, system administration and information security principles.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Salary packaging expenses like your rent, holiday accommodation and dining out: up to $15,900 pre-tax.
  • Salary range betwen $119,000 - $124,000 plus Super, depending on experience.
