Head of Aged Care

Job No: SHM1238
Location: St. Kilda

Your future workplace

Sacred Heart Mission is a community of dedicated people working together to end homelessness, deep disadvantage, and social exclusion. Our strength lies in our shared purpose and values. We welcome individuality and support each other to bring our best and whole selves to the work we do each day.

Join us in making a meaningful difference in a fun and friendly organisation with a big heart.

Your new role

As Head of Aged Care, you will lead Sacred Heart Mission’s (SHM) specialist aged care portfolio. From our residential aged care home supporting older people who have experienced homelessness and disadvantage, to home care and community programs, you will shape services that combine exceptional clinical care with dignity, inclusion and social justice.

Reporting to the Director of Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the portfolio, strengthening quality, clinical governance, financial sustainability and workforce capability while identifying opportunities to grow SHM’s impact in specialist aged care. Working collaboratively across the organisation and alongside external partners, you will help position Sacred Heart Mission as a leader in delivering person-centred, trauma-informed care for older people with complex needs.

This is an opportunity to influence not only how services are delivered today, but how specialist aged care evolves into the future. As SHM delivers Strategy 2030: Serving More People, More Communities, you will play a key role in expanding our reach, responding to aged care reform, and ensuring more older people can access the housing, care and support they need to live well
