Your new role
As Advocacy and Engagement Coordinator, you’ll support SHM to address the root causes of homelessness and influence real change in policy, service practice and community attitudes.
You’ll be a key member of a friendly and skilled communications, advocacy and marketing team, while maintaining strong relationships with staff and participants across SHM services.

Your day-to-day
- Identify opportunities to influence policy and community debates
- Prepare key messages, briefing papers and responses to submissions
- Coordinate advocacy activities with sector partners
- Support our services and partners to share emerging needs, solutions and stories thar drive change
We're looking for
Someone experienced in advocacy, campaigning or government relations, who can:
- translate policy and evidence into clear, compelling messages
- coordinate campaigns and projects with adaptability and attention to detail
- respond effectively to submissions, requests for information and other opportunities
- build trust and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, participants and sector partners
You can look forward to
- A full-time role, with flexible working arrangements available (including working from home days)
- Hourly rate of $52.54 - $54.92 + superannuation (dependent on experience & qualifications)
