Your new role
To achieve our ambitious goals – growing our services to meet need, expanding into new geographies, strengthening advocacy, and fostering fairer communities – a new Lead Program and Service Design role has been developed. This role sits within the Services Directorate and will play a critical role in leading strategic projects including the modelling and design of existing and new programs and services, partnering with lived and living experience to ensure services meet the true needs of the community and are strategically aligned.

Your day-to-day
- Manage strategic projects that enhance service effectiveness and innovation capability.
- Lead service design and improvement initiatives, including development of theory of change, program logic, journey mapping, and implementation planning.
- Facilitate inclusive, trauma-informed co-design and/or participatory processes with staff, service participants, and partners.
- Embed lived experience and peer perspectives into service models, ensuring dignity, agency, and cultural safety.
- Contribute to, and facilitate the design of, new processes and procedures for services and programs that align with the organisation’s service model.
We're looking for someone with
- A degree qualification or equivalent experience in relevant field such as Community Services, Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, Design (Service or Human Centred Design) or Business Administration.
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing evidence-based service model across community or health sectors, with a focus on innovation and measurable outcomes.
- Experience in non-profit service design and development, ensuring programs align with organisational strategy and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead complex initiatives and develop program logics or theories of change that ensure services are both evidence-informed and outcomes-driven.
- Strong dedication to inclusive, culturally safe, trauma-informed services that reflect lived experience and support diverse, vulnerable communities.
