Your new role

This is an exciting time in Sacred Heart Mission’s history, as we are now working within our bold new strategic plan, Strategy 2030: Serving more people and more communities. 

As a part of Strategy 2030, Sacred Heart Mission is strengthening our culture, capability and workforce adaptability, and we are seeking a Head of Organisational Development to drive performance and culture transformation through organisation-wide frameworks and initiatives. 
 

In this newly created role, you will lead the development and implementation of organisational development strategies and oversee a team that includes Learning and Development and the Student Program.

Your day-to-day

  • Leading the strategic development of organisational-wide strategies that drive workforce capability. 
  • Developing and implementing initiatives that build a culture of constructive leadership, psychological safety and continuous learning.
  • Establishing SHM’s learning strategy, partnering internally and externally to deliver high-impact programs and coaching.
  • Continually mentoring and supporting team members to build a high-performing team.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader People and Culture Team, including DEI, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Volunteering and People Experience to deliver inclusive, forward-thinking initiatives.

We're looking for someone with

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Organisational Development, HR, Psychology) or relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in organisational development and the creation of innovative practices.
  • A deep understanding of how to build upon leadership capability, develop workforce culture and deliver meaningful learning programs.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a demonstrated ability in maintaining and supporting high-performing teams.
  • Ability to embed lived experience and participant voice into organisational design and practice.

  • A full-time role, with flexible working arrangements available (including working from home days).
  • Salary range of $135,000 - $150,000 + superannuation (dependent on experience & qualifications).
