Your new role
As the Student Placements Officer, you will coordinate student placements across Sacred Heart Mission (SHM), ensuring students have a positive and meaningful learning experience.
Based in the Learning and Development team, you will work closely with program areas to grow placement opportunities and strengthen SHM’s future workforce.

A typical day would be:
- Coordinate and oversee student placements across SHM, ensuring adequate supervision and support.
- Develop and implement orientation, training, and evaluation processes for students.
- Build relationships with tertiary institutions and registered training organisations to strengthen placement opportunities.
- Support SHM staff who supervise students by providing guidance and learning resources.
- Identify and implement improvements in the student placement program.
We're looking for someone with
- Experience coordinating student placements or similar programs in the community sector.
- A relevant qualification (Cert IV or above) in Training & Assessment, Human Resources, Education, Social Work, or related fields.
- Strong relationship-building skills to work with staff, students, and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong alignment with SHM’s values and commitment to social impact.
