Your new role
Our Wellbeing and Activities program offers structured activities and opportunities for residents to improve their health and wellbeing, to engage in social participation, and to build confidence. As our new Leisure and Health Assistant you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of individual and group activities.
In this part-time role, you’ll work Thursdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the possibility of additional shifts in the future.

Your day-to-day
A typical day will involve facilitating set agreed activity sessions (both individual and group based within your skillset) as defined by the weekly program. This could range from a variety of sessions including drama, art and music, coffee mornings, footy tipping, dementia specific activities, musical bingo or bus outings.
Beyond activities, you’ll also play a practical role in supporting residents’ day-to-day needs. This might include helping them with clothing or other personal lifestyle requirements. You’ll also assist with sorting and accepting donations, ensuring that everything we offer meets our high standards of care and respect.
The person we're looking for will
- Have experience in leading activities in a Residential environment, or a wider Community setting.
- Have a Working with Children Check, NDIS Clearance and First Aid Cert.
- Be creative, outgoing and compassionate!
- Effectively support the social and emotional needs of people who live with mental illness and have experienced trauma or homelessness.
- Bring their individual qualities, interests and abilities to the role.
- Be flexible and responsive to changes made to the program with little notice.
- Be motivated, keen to learn, team focused and with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Hourly rate of $33.09.
