Your new role
Join Sacred Heart Mission (SHM) as a Payroll Specialist and play a key role in supporting our growth and strategic vision for 2030! In this full-time role, you'll oversee and enhance our payroll systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll services to over 400 employees—and counting—as we continue to expand our services and impact.

Your day-to-day
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, and superannuation.
- Preparing and analysing payroll reports and responding to employee inquiries.
- Collaborating on payroll system improvements and integration with other processes.
- Ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and employee regulations in collaboration with People Services.
- Being the point of contact for payroll service providers.
We're looking for someone with
- Proven experience as a payroll specialist or payroll manager.
- Prior experience with Access Micropay software (Desirable).
- BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field (Desirable).
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting awards and Enterprise Agreement requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with a proactive approach to collaboration.
