Your new role
Sacred Heart Mission (SHM) is entering an exciting new chapter with Strategy 2030, focusing on expanding its reach and deepening its impact. A key part of this work is developing a culture of practice excellence, ensuring high quality, trauma informed care across all services.
As Head of Practice, you will play a key role in this transformation, reporting to the Director of Services and joining the senior leadership team.
Your primary responsibilities include advancing clinical governance, trauma-informed frameworks, and quality standards across SHM’s diverse programs, including aged care, housing, and homelessness services. You will lead a small team of Practice Leaders, ensuring they support client-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate care.

Your day-to-day
- Develop and implement practice frameworks aligned with SHM’s Strategy 2030 to enhance trauma-informed care and outcomes.
- Oversee clinical governance, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Lead training and professional development initiatives.
- Lead practice improvements and collaborate with a variety of Service teams to enhance service outcomes.
- Mentor your team and support the development and well-being of Practice Lead staff.
We're looking for someone with
- Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field
- Extensive clinical experience in trauma-informed care, and practice leadership.
- Strong understanding of homelessness, social disadvantage, and related service delivery frameworks.
- Proven ability to mentor, supervise and support staff.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing practice frameworks and quality standards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage teams and stakeholders.

- Base salary between 120-130k dependent on experience and qualifications.
